Don’t wait it out

Pain that lingers past two weeks rarely resolves on its own

Persistent pain, swelling, clicking, or reduced range of motion during work, sport, or daily activity are signs worth investigating early. Left untreated, minor injuries can worsen and take longer to recover from.

The objective

A treatment plan based on your injury, lifestyle and recovery goals

Every injury — and every patient’s goals — can be different. Your treatment begins with understanding your symptoms, activity level and what you want to return to doing. Depending on your condition, assessment may involve a physical examination and, where clinically appropriate, imaging such as an X-ray or MRI. Dr. Bryan will then explain the findings and discuss suitable treatment options with you.

Treatment does not always mean surgery

Where appropriate, non-surgical treatment may be considered first, including activity modification, physiotherapy, rehabilitation or other conservative approaches. Surgery may be considered when conservative management does not provide sufficient improvement or where the nature of the injury requires surgical intervention.
